For Phra Narai Public Park itself, no document has been found stating its construction year, initiator, or reason for establishment. It should therefore not be concluded that the park originated in the tin-mining era or during the period of the town governors merely because Takuapa prospered then.

What can be confirmed is that the park is in front of Takuapa Town Municipality Office and houses a statue of Phra Narai with replicas of attendant deities. Phra Narai is significant to the town and is used in the municipal emblem, but this evidence explains the significance of the deity and the town, not the park's founding date.

The municipal documents' context for Takuapa reflects an old town with trade, tin mining, Sino·Portuguese buildings, and a large Chinese community. However, no evidence directly connects these elements with the park's construction.

From a sacred space to a town activity stage

No verifiable timeline has been found.

The evidence found does not record any transfer of ownership, abandonment, or restoration of the park over time, so it cannot yet be answered whether the park experienced these events. The same applies to the impact of the 2004 tsunami (B.E. 2547), for which no report specifically about this park has been found.

During the period covered by the available information, the park's role expanded from a place of worship to a public space for the town. It is used for cultural activities, recreation, traditional events, Children's Day events, and as a playground, under the management of Takuapa Town Municipality.

Old-town documents identify several places and ancient monuments in the municipality, but no Fine Arts Department announcement has been found registering “Phra Narai Park Public Garden” directly as an ancient monument. The park is therefore carefully distinguished from nearby ancient monuments.

The latest publicly available information confirms that the park remains a public space under the care of Takuapa Town Municipality. It contains statues of Phra Narai and attendant deities for worship, as well as a playground and community recreation areas.

The park also serves as the town's central event stage. The Phra Narai worship ceremony and Takuapa's local products event were held here in 2025 (B.E. 2568), and news reported Takuapa local products activities at the park's central stage. The 2023 (B.E. 2566) annual event was held from 27 March·5 April.

No official information confirms opening·closing hours, admission fees, the latest physical condition, or a completed construction project. For the “Narai Hub & Commercial Center” development concept, only policy or direction news from municipal administrators has been found, so it is not yet considered a completed project.
